40 million years in the making: Skin Care with Sea Buckthorn & Ester-C®

David Steinman By David Steinman, from Healthy Living

I do a lot of hiking and spend a great deal of time in the outdoors and my skin desperately requires protection from the damaging impact of the sun. Sea Buckthorn Ester-C Rejuvenating Serum from Augrey Organics has really helped to prevent and undo much of the sun-related damage, including wrinkling, that my skin has suffered.

Based on extensive clinical validation, I believe the Aubrey Organics sea buckthorn formulas will be very helpful to persons of either sex‹especially if their skin requires deep rejuvenation from sun-related damage and help against wrinkling.

Remarkable Constituents of Sea Buckthorn Oil

Because sea buckthorn has had to acclimatize to a wide variety of ecological conditions over millions of years, it has become a valuable resource plant with multiple uses and functions. Sea buckthorn is rich in many vitamins, both in its fruit and in the seeds (Aubrey Organics® oil is a combination from both sources). The sea buckthorn oil used in Aubrey Organics' products is not only a rich source of vitamin E, the carotenoid content of its fruit (provitamin A) is twice as concentrated as that of mangoes, while the vitamin C content of its fruit is up to nine times that of cabbage.

Sea buckthorn also contains essential fatty acids, phosphates, pigment, phytoestrogens, catechols, and flavonoids. There are 24 kinds of mineral elements in sea buckthorn, including calcium, phosphorus, copper, zinc, magnesium, iron, manganese and selenium, all possessing physiologically active properties. The high carotenoid content in conjunction with the other bioactive substances is responsible for its extreme skin repair properties.

Clinical Studies of Sea Buckthorn from China
  • In one study, sea buckthorn was tested on 350 people at the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Materia Medica. The results showed that sea buckthorn beauty cream had a therapeutic efficacy on skin discoloration, freckles, prematurely aging skin, skin sclerosis (hardening), scaling or rough skin, facial acne, recurrent dermatitis or chemically damaged skin. The hospital was gratified to find that applications of cream containing sea buckthorn oil made the tested person's skin fair, clear and delicate. Many cases of acne improved or disappeared after using the sea buckthorn cream; excess pigment disappeared as well. Several postpartum women with large patches of pigmentation found that the patches completely vanished after one to two months of treatment, the skin returning to normal.
  • Cancer treatment specialists affiliated with Xian Medical University, in cooperation with Northwestern College of Forestry, successfully used sea buckthorn preparations with patients who had undergone radiation therapy which can cause inflammation and burns. A study with patients suffering from acute (second degree) burns caused by radiation showed that, compared with other commonly-used drugs, persons receiving sea buckthorn oil responded faster and better to the treatment. T In addition, Northwestern Institute of Plateau Biology carried out clinical tests of 150 cases of burns treated with sea buckthorn oil with better therapeutic results than from placebo.
Ester-C: Powerful Wrinkle and Skin Cancer Protection

Ester-C®, like sea buckthorn, is one of the most potent agents today available for insuring healthy, wrinkle-free skin. The power of the Aubrey Organics line is that sea buckthorn has been combined with Ester-C for an even more potent combination, especially for reducing sun damage and wrinkling. That is because vitamin C, especially when applied topically, is a strong stimulator of renewed skin growth and helps to maintain normal cell growth. Topical Ester-C®, in particular, is able to reach deeper layers of the skin to strongly stimulate healthy skin renewal.

The Complete Formula

These unique skin care products bring together the healing and skin-nourishing properties of sea buckthorn oil, Ester-C® and hemp oil in ideal proportions for almost instant absorption and utilization by the skin. Combined with other toning and moisturizing herbs and vitamins, they work together to help heal and smooth the skin, protect against free radical damage and keep the complexion softer, healthier and younger looking.

In my opinion, these sea buckthorn formulas represent a true breakthrough in skin care for both sexes.

I strongly recommend the Aubrey sea buckthorn line.

Tell Me More . . .

Sea buckthorn is not a secret known only to ancient times. Now, for the first time, Aubrey Hampton of Aubrey Organics® has developed a line of skin care products around this remarkable oil. Hampton combines sea buckthorn with Ester-C® (the patented, non-acidic, long-lasting, skin-penetrable form of Vitamin C), a powerful antioxidant and stabilizer, and hemp seed oil, another superb skin nourisher containing an ideal balance of essential fatty acids.

The Aubrey Organics formula I've personally been using is called Sea Buckthorn Ester-C® Rejuvenating Serum. The complete line also includes Sea Buckthorn Silky Smooth Moisturizer with Ester-C®; Sea Buckthorn with Sandalwood and Ester-C Hand & Body Lotion; Sea Buckthorn with Sandalwood Skin Care Bar; Sea Buckthorn with Ester-C Facial Cleansing Cream; Sea Buckthorn Moisturizing Mask.
